Accessibility statement

Matchflight should work for everyone, whether you use a screen reader, only use a keyboard or make the text larger. Here you can read what already works well, what doesn’t yet, and how to reach us if you run into a problem.

In short

  • We build the site in line with WCAG 2.2, level AA.
  • The site currently partially meets this. What isn’t right yet is listed below.
  • Running into a problem? Email, call or WhatsApp us and we’ll help you personally.

Which standard we follow

WCAG 2.2 is the international guideline for accessible websites. Level AA is what the European standard EN 301 549 requires. This brings us in line with the European Accessibility Act, which has applied to online shops since 28 June 2025.

What already works well

  • Keyboard. The “Skip to content” link lets you bypass the menu. Menus and expandable sections work with the keyboard and close with Escape.
  • Screen readers. Every page has clear headings and fixed regions such as menu, content and footer. Images have a description.
  • Forms. Every field has a label. Error messages and confirmations are read aloud.
  • Reading. Small text has enough contrast with the background, and the pages work on any screen size.
  • Video. Videos start muted. You can turn the sound on yourself if you want to.

What doesn’t work well yet

  • Large orange headings and numbers on a light background have less contrast than the standard requires (2.6:1 instead of 3:1). We are adjusting that colour.
  • Subtitles are still missing from the videos. We’ll add them.
  • Manual test with screen readers. We haven’t yet tested the site manually with VoiceOver and NVDA. We’ll do that before launch.

As soon as an issue has been fixed, we’ll update this statement.

How we tested

On 18 October 2026 we tested every page automatically with axe-core, on desktop and on mobile. An automated test doesn’t find everything. That’s why a test with real screen readers will follow.

Running into a problem?

Can’t read, use or order something? Let us know and we’ll help you personally.

Please tell us which page it was on and which assistive technology you use, such as a screen reader or magnification. That way we can fix it faster.
