Privacy policy

Which personal data we collect through the Matchflight app and this website, why we do so, how long we keep it and what rights you have.

1. Who collects your data?

The Matchflight app and this website belong to Wij Tellen Dingen B.V., Verwersstraat 49, 5211 HT 's-Hertogenbosch. We are the controller responsible for the processing of your personal data.

We collect data when you install or use the app, visit the website, create an account, make a purchase, contact us or sign up for the newsletter.

2. What data, why and for how long?

Account, game data and purchases

You need an account to use the app. For this we process your name, email address, username and password, a profile photo if you add one, your scores and statistics, and your payment and purchase details.

We keep this data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data as soon as possible.
If your account has not been used for two years, you will first receive an email, after which we will delete it.
We anonymise game data instead of deleting it.
By law, we must keep tax and administrative data for seven years.

Fair play (anti-cheat)

Particularly at competitive events, we may check whether play is fair. For this purpose, your phone’s camera may be used to check the distance to the board. We do not use the camera to recognise you. We delete this data after the game has ended, unless an investigation into cheating is ongoing.

Website and cookies

On the website we use functional, analytical and marketing cookies. For cookies that are not necessary, we first ask for your consent via the cookie banner. You can always change your choice later. You can read more in our cookie policy.

Newsletter and personalised advertising

For marketing purposes, we may use your contact details, sign-up date, location and preferences. If you are not a customer, we only send you marketing if you have given your consent. We only show personalised advertising with your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of every newsletter. We keep this data until you unsubscribe or object. If you had an account, we may continue to send you messages for up to three years after your last activity.

Calibration and technical support

When you calibrate your dartboard, Heylo creates images and reference points. We may use these for support, quality control and troubleshooting. We do so on the basis of our legitimate interest. Only authorised staff have access. Afterwards, we delete the data or anonymise it, unless a technical problem requires us to keep it longer.

3. Who receives your data?

Service providers that process data on our behalf, such as software suppliers. We conclude a data processing agreement with them. Your data is stored within the European Union.
Companies within our group, where necessary.
Others where required by law, or for example in the event of a merger, legal proceedings or bankruptcy.

Buttons from WhatsApp, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram may place cookies from those parties. Those cookies are subject to their own privacy policies.

4. How do we protect your data?

We take technical and organisational measures against misuse, loss, unauthorised access and unwanted disclosure. If you think something is wrong with the security of your data, report it immediately to privacy@matchflight.com.

We are not responsible for how other websites we link to handle privacy.

5. What rights do you have?

Send your request to privacy@matchflight.com. We respond within one month. Sometimes we need more time, up to a maximum of two additional months; if so, we will let you know. A request is free of charge. We will, however, ask you to verify your identity.
